While our office does not offer foreclosure defense in all cases, there may still be a possibility to short sale in these circumstances. The foreclosure process varies from 6 months to 3/4 years (depending on the county), typically, you have enough notice to try to avoid foreclosure well before 2 weeks from your sale date. We do not recommend waiting for such an advance stage in the process. However, if you find yourself in this circumstance, there are still options. The options range from listing your home and simply starting a short sale to emergency motions to postpone your sale date, or even bankruptcy, it is not hopeless.
